My Answer for a missing Amerola piece

My request might have been to deep in another thread. I didn't get a response. While restoring my Amberola 30, I found that there was a piece missing. Because I had no idea what the missing piece looked like, I asked for images or an explanation. So here is what I did. I thought that this missing piece must be just a guide to keep the horn from flopping around in the case. It didn't need to tighten or lock anything in place.
I chucked up a piece of β " hardwood dowel in my model lathe and center drilled a hole using a number 31 bit (3.048 mm). After softening the edges, I cut it off ΒΌ" long. After some sanding and a little stain, I found that it screwed onto the post on the horn and did the job.
Please let me know if I missed anything.
