I saw this on craigslist. The description they it's a Brunswick. I've never seen this model before, does anyone have any info on it?

I find it to be a very attractive model, but it's a bit too big.

It may have been mentioned once or twice, but the APS webpage has a wealth of information, including Mr. Wakeman's book on Brunswick phonographs.

It might be a Panatrope model from the later 1920s.

That was one of the Brunswick Exponential Horn models designed to play the recently introduced electrical recordings with greater fidelity than the older models.

From what I can tell, the example you posted has been refinished on the outside of the cabinet, obscuring the diamond shaped wood-grain veneer pattern on the doors. It's also missing the grille cloth.

Hard to tell if it's refinished or not, I think it may just be the lighting. These later Brunswicks can really sound fantastic.

I'm extremely pleased with my Brunswick Panatrope (non-electric). I've taken to using it frequently, even over my smaller Orthophonic machines, as the sound is amazing. The one pictured has an even larger horn than mine (which is the Seville), and I can imagine with a properly serviced soundbox the one in the OP's picture would be amazing. I realize there are those who will extol the many virtues of the Orthophonic folded horn, but for the size/footprint, these Brunswicks do pack a punch. I find the reproduction very satisfying. For what it's worth, I think the machine pictured is terrific and wouldn't hesitate to grab it if the price is right.

Thus endeth my .02 on the monetary scale.
