So, unearthed another machine - this one on the backstreets of Old Cairo. And the sound-box looks appropriate / correct. But beyond that I have no idea what model it is etc. And I'm a bit intrigued by the side panels which seem to be of glass? Is it one from Franks vast collection?

Definitely one of Franks'! Everything about it is wrong, the horn elbow, the motor, the HMV tradeplate, the soundbox, the glass panels etc. etc. Need I go on?

Enough said. Thanks. I had my doubts but when the seller when on and on about it being in his family for generations and how could I even suggest it was from Uncle Frank's workshop etc - I started doubting myself! Do be on standby for more posts like this as I meet more traders in Cairo.
