My dad wants to clear some room out in his house and wanted me to list his gramophone for sale for him (he is not a member of the board). He has been owning this one for over 25 years and has taken great care of it. He bought it not too far from London and had it shipped to the U.S. I played a ton of records on it last summer when I was back home and it plays/sounds great. The motor was in great shape and I cleaned everything up and re-oiled everything.

He lives in Centerville, LA PM with interest and I can give you his phone number.

Nobody is interested in it at all, even for $300? I wouldn't think these are very common in the states, especially the south.

They're not common at all in the States, and the South is hard enough to find phonographs in if you're a picky "condition collector." Most collectors probably would turn it down because it's basically a humpbacked Victrola console, but they're missing out. Consoles were the rage in the 1920s and make any room look nice--they make your ceiling look higher than the old tall-case Victrolas.

I love the ribbon mahogany in the top & the near-perfect exterior finish. It looks brand new!
