Just was wondering when do people arrive to start selling?

I've heard of people showing up before 7AM, I usually try to make it by 7:30-8:00.

I want to encourage everyone who goes on Saturday please make sure you attend the show on Sunday. Many dealers only show up on Sunday only - and there will be no Saturday if there is no support of Sunday.

Support the show, spend the $6 entry to attend on Sunday to keep the whole event thriving. Or buy a table and put some goods out to make the event even BIGGER! Keep the hobby vibrant and support the show with your attendance! See you soon.

A friend of mine visited Switzerland back around 1980. She was amazed that the public transportation in Zurich was on the "honor system." People deposited their money as they got on, but no one was watching to be sure everyone paid. My friend asked a Swiss rider how it was that riders could be trusted to pay, when they could easily cheat. The response was, "If people cheated, the system wouldn't work and they'd have no ride."

To lose a show because too many people chose to freeload on Saturday and not show up on Sunday would be a loss for everyone.

Thirded! (I know that's not a word, but hey...)

I drive down Saturday morning, hit the parking lot by 7:30 or 8 and browse, buy, chat, catch up, the usual. Usually around Noon-1PM a bunch of us then gather at a great diner on Route 23 to have a nice lunch and socialize some more. After that, it's usually time to check in to the hotel, grab a shower and maybe preview some new record purchases with friends (I always bring a machine to play in the room), then head over to a collector's house for a nice gathering for even more socializing, pizza and a look at one of the most amazing collections around. By 10-11PM, it's back to crash at the hotel then up at 6AM for the actual show, I certainly never miss it!

I always think of the parking lot as a bonus. The show is worth while, if for nothing else, it’s great to just browse. There is always a lot to see and nice people to meet. So there you go, fourthed.

::sigh:: Wish I could join you guys out there. Already starting to save my money for next years show.

Definitely support the Wayne show.

Having unsanctioned "shows before the show before the show" became a problem at Union 15 or 20 years ago. Folks were showing up on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday to sell and leave before the Union show started. The Donleys eventually clamped down on the practice to help ensure the quality of the Union show. One famous record auction guy didn't cooperate and was subsequently banned from the Union show.

By all means, enjoy the parking lot pre-sales at Wayne, but as George said, support the show to keep it going strong.

Wondering what happens if it rains on Saturday??

If it rains I wont be there! Probably find a decent restaurant or catch up on some zzz's. It is suppose rain Friday overnight but clearing up during Sat AM. Looks like it will be nice enough both days. John
