I’m looking for a large electromagnetic Victor horn driver for a Victor Electrola 10-51 and the later 8-60 and 9-40.
It is marked made by Radio Corporation and Supplied to VIctor Talking Machine Company.
Thanks!
Mark

I’m still hopeful that I’ll find a good driver like this some day.
It was only used in the 10-51, the later 9-40 and an adaptation of the 8-60.
Thanks for keeping your eyes open!
Mark

What machine do you have Mark? I can't remember if you showed me or not.

Mark,
Have you given any thought to adapting an Altec 806A horn driver in the 10-51? You could use the field coil from an old 104 speaker for the Victor driver field.
Biggest headache would be fabricating an adapter to match the "S" tube to the Altec driver mount.

Another viable solution, but pricey. A Western Electric 555 driver would be both age and technically correct. But like I said- Pricey. The field coil uses 7 volts DC.

The one on the table looks pretty good.
