The Talking Machine Forum — For All Antique Phonographs & Recordings

I was able to purchase this nice Victrola model X from a couple that is downsizing. I went through it and it works great. I want to find a someone, hopefully under 18, to give it to. Hopefully with will spark some interest in old phonographs with someone that would appreciate it. I live in Central Wisconsin. It comes with needles and a lot of records. I have given away a few phonographs in the past and it has been a rewarding experience to see someone excited and appreciate an old phonograph. That is a great thing to do, and I also have given away some to my high school aged students who really took an interest in them when I demonstrated phonos in class. Not only the good feeling of doing something nice, but to see the spark and excitement of a "budding" collector.

I found a new home for this little Victrola X. The young lady is very excited to have one and learn all about them. A collector friend heard of what I did and he said he had one to give away also. It was a Puritan and it found a new home pretty quick. We found the grill after the picture was taken. That person is also very excited to have one. We both have a little more room now and it is a good feeling to see some new people interested in old phonographs.
