OK trying to remove the drive gear and wind gear shafts from the 2 piece spring barrel on my Grafonola. I know how Victors attach but cant tell how the Columbia's springs attach to the shafts and don't want to force them. Any help?

If I remember right, Columbia springs hook up just like Victors.
They'll be really tight because Columbia springs will get a "set" in them over time, wrapping the ends around the shafts rather tightly, so you will have to almost force them out.
Honestly, as Columbia springs aren't very powerful at all if they've got some hours on them, it might be a good idea to put $25 into it and get some new springs from Ron Sitko. It will re-power your motor & actually shouldn't hurt the value of it any. I mean, who doesn't like running a fresh set of springs?
