A rare colonial HMV 88a (Maybe - Maybe not ?)

I have read a few threads on here about colonial HMV's and saw this - thinking it looks similar ?
I can't seem to find another wood example of an 88a on google - they were made mainly for export apparently.
Could this be a very rare, sought after gramophone I wonder ?

The reason you cannot find another example in wooden finish is that someone has stripped the case covering from the example you have pictured, possibly in an attempt to make it look like a tropical teak machine. Don't even think about buying it!
The HMV88 was an ultra cheap portable intended mainly for the export market. It's Columbia clone, the 211, was catalogued until 1961 and was the last EMI acoustic gramophone to be sold in the UK.
