Here is my Imperial Record, I can not make out the tittle , since the hole obscures part of it.

That's a neat looking label... I've been hoping to come across one someday. The enlarged center hole was made by an owner, not the factory. Somebody had a large spindle machine (probably a Standard brand machine, from the looks of the size of the hole), and they "customized" the record to fit.

That's a nice looking label Paul. I read something about them some time ago, but I cant seem to find where I read it
All I can remember is that it was an American label, & I think? they date from around 1907. I dont think the company was around for more than a couple years either.

There was also an English Imperial label that started in 1920, that used a few blue & gold labels based on the early US design. I guess they liked it so much, they decided to steal the design, and as the USA company was no longer in existance, they got away with it.

Here is a fun Imperial 3.5 inch record. It is electrically recorded and is a promotion for a full size 10 inch record. I have a 10 inch record with the same label as the 1st one posted here but it has an owner label right over the crown so I didn't include a picture.

Any chance that we could hear "Congo Love Song"? Arthur Pryor was Sousa's trombone soloist before forming his own band, which competed very successfully with Sousa. Much of Pryor's solo work has been reissued over the years (most recently, AFAIK, on Crystal CDs), but I'm not familiar with this tune.

Henry,I don't think I have ever played it.I had it framed right after I found it.I don't even have a newer table to use.There are only a handful of these labels around.However,I think the title is on other labels.I will check my Berliners.I think I have it on one of them.
