We don't see many of these in the UK, and this one is on a 99P start!

Wow---I'll bet that one could tell quite a story! Wonder how it got over there?
It looks to be in beautiful condition, too. I'm thinking that it may have the brown mahogany finish, which is unusual.
Some lucky person in the U.K. will come away with a very nice machine, indeed!

It probably arrived on a transatlantic liner coming into Sunderland for a refit. Some HMV machines arrived in the USA for the same reason.
This explains why these "foreign" machines usually turn up at or near a seaport.

Often the old fixtures and fittings were either auctioned off at the quayside or offered to the crew at knock down prices.
This VV-XVI appears to have survived in excellent original condition. It is a 700 mile round trip from me, but I hope it finds a good home.

Like its HMV cousin it looks a little coffin-like. Not my cup of tea.

It's finish was originally reddish in colour but UV degradation has faded it to brown.
