SOLD: Excellent May 1896 7" BERLINER By F. GIANNINI-$195

This is one of the earliest and one of the NICEST condition 7 inch Berliner records from my collection.
Recorded on May 4, 1896 in Philadelphia, PA on Berliner Gramophone Record #901 this is Ferruccio Giannini singing "LA MARSEILLAISE" (the French National Anthem).
This recording is absolutely breathtaking. It is crisp, clear and has incredible volume for an early Berliner.
The recording features an elaborate announcement before the performance begins. Giannini is accompanied by piano on this delightful early recording.
This is only the 4th known recording by Ferruccio Giannini. It is a wonderful performance start to finish IMHO. I'm gradually offering for sale some of the records from my collection that many years ago I vowed never to sell.
PM with interest. USPS Media Mail is additional and at cost. I can also ship USPS Priority Mail if preferred.
