Look what my 11-year old son built me on father's day. I was really touched by his empathy.

Stephan,
Those are candidates for the glass display cabinet - - how many of us have been given phonographs/gramophones by our CHILDREN?! I'd be touched as well. You're blessed.

That's really thoughtful. I had something similar when my daughter was 11 (now 23). She did a poster about Nipper and phonographs for a school project and a report about Charlie Parker. I still have both and the poster is framed and hangs in my bedroom. More recently, my niece painted me a phonograph picture that I have hanging in my office. They make me happy every time I look at them.

I agree with what others have already said. You are blessed to have a Son who is so thoughtful. And I agree, this should be the centerpiece of your collection!
My daughter is 7 months old now and I hope someday she will put the same thought into something that I am so interested in. Thanks for sharing!
