Where are you located?
Which reproducer is included and is it original or rebuilt?
Is the machine working?
Do you have more/better pictures and info about the cylinders?

I can't find out any information about this machine, much less where it's located, Must be a ghost ad...

I received a reply. They say it works, but they are taking "offers". I'm not interested in being a part of a never ending auction.

For an Edison Opera, I would be. Not everybody has a diehard collector's attitude to these machines. Many people inherit them and want them to sell to an appreciative buyer, preferably one who is well-heeled and a little bit of a prodigal.
It's not quite Forum rules but I can see where the seller is coming from.
And with a little work, that Opera and cabinet will be quite the ensemble once more. I wonder what kind of music was in that cabinet--145 records? Instant collection!

I totally agree. As a dealer, I get offered stuff all the time. If the seller doesn’t name a price, end of discussion for me.

There are only two reasons why a seller does not name a price.
Either they have not done any research and have no idea what the item is worth, or,
They do know what the item is worth, but hope that some gullible prospective buyer will offer more.

I might add a third reason: To play one prospective buyer off against another.
