Edison B 80 pulley drive motor bearing

The spring barrel drive shaft at the bottom of the casting seems to be missing a set screw hole. The bearing (the one with the steel ball) is there but no set screw or set screw hole. The same bearing is in the top casting for the turntable and it has a set screw.
Thoughts? Shall I drill and tap for a set screw?

I would see what others have to offer before you drill anything....

Here's a photo of the motor of a B 80 I used to have. Hope this helps.

Yours clearly shows a set screw in the right lower corner. Mine has the bearing but no set screw. Thanks!
