... in a marvelous 12" HMV blue record album from Netherlands (Mr. Notenboom) I've just been listening to Nuns Chorus from "Casanova" by a soprano and chorus, on a wonderful 12" Philips 78, the very first I've seen on this size. The other side is a version of Bach-Gounod Ave Maria. Very nice. Also listened to Miguel Fleta on the habanera Ay, Ay, Ay, on HMV DB-525. I believe I've had this record in the past, but the later electrical version. This is the acoustic version. Much better. Fleta es st his best in 1922-1924.
