Pooley record cabinet questions

I just picked this up yesterday It's a Pooley record cabinet. Looks to have been made for a VV-IX or similar but I'm not sure. Some questions:
Approximate date of manufacture? Model number?
Should this have some kind of record slats or did it come this way?
Scarcity and value comments are also welcome, either publicly or via PM.

Pooley cabinet advertisements appeared in the Talking Machine World in 1911, but by the end of 1913 the company was in financial straits (probably because of unpaid bills from the Keen-O-Phone Company).
Your Pooley cabinet was originally equipped with the company's patented record filing/ejector system. You can see this in a couple of the company's advertisements (click twice on each image to sharpen and enlarge):
- From the October 1911 "Talking Machine World."
- From the May 1912 "Talking Machine World."
- From the November 1912 "Talking Machine World."
Pooley made excellent cabinets, and yours appears to retain a nice original finish. Congratulations!

George - I knew you'd be the one to provide a detailed response. Thanks very much. I wish the filing system were still intact! I do need to do some cleanup work on it, but will look quite nice when I'm done. Of course now I'll have to find something "worthy" to put on top of it!
