Info needed on early model VV-IX tabletop

Calling all experts please !!!!!
I just acquired an early model VV-IX cabinet with a serial number 11974 A. From database it appears to be first year production of 1911 after bullet brake was discontinued. Also has the downward facing slats. It’s missing the motor board and motor.
It has the crank located approximately 4” from the front of the cabinet. I have other IXs where crank is more toward center or rear of cabinet.
Could someone who has an earlier version as mine possibly show me what the motor board and motor looks like ?
I have several motors and motor boards but none seem to be configured to fit the layout of this machine. The space that the motor board fits into measures 12” x 12”.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Terry

You'll need to find a motor that is the same or very similar to a Victor III or IV. Is the horn in your early IX open at the top so the motor partially sits in the horn? I always thought the open top horns were interesting because Victor seldom compromised sound quality for economy.

From your description, I believe this is a forward crank VV IX.Yes, a motor from a Victor III or IV, is similar but will not work. The crank will be in the middle of the cabinet, and this will be wrong. These motors are scarce, but can be found.

Thanks Jerry and Harvey for the info.
Yes Jerry it is an open top horn that actual motor would fit down into. Similar to the early VV-IVs. Not a big loss if I don’t find a motor because it was in the big pile of parts I acquired on eBay back in 2016 for $20.50. You can see the pile of parts I got in the thread that was posted not long ago related to how far anyone has traveled to obtain a machine.
The cabinet is in decent shape was the only reason I was trying to possibly luck upon someone having a picture of a motor board and motor so that I would know what to look for. Probably just put the cabinet back in the corner of the garage for now.
Thanks again for you two guys (experts in the field) for your always valued input.

I’ve got this machine with motor board if it will work for you. Early ish machine with downward slays and crank mounted toward the front. Let me know if you think it might work.
