This is for sale close to me, anything look incorrect? It's $325

There shouldn't be a script Edison decal on a suitcase Home. Price is still more than fair. I'd buy it.

Is there a crank? Does it work? The reproducer is an earlier sidearm model, which is a plus. It's also on backwards. The reproducer arm adjusting screw has been replaced with something else.

There shouldn't be a decal on the bottom, as has been noted. It is probably a newer decal added later.

It's a good deal in any case. I'd buy it.

I agree with most of what has been observed & stated about it, except I think it's priced at the high end of its value. The shaver is missing. There's also some veneer damage on the lid, with what appears to be a hunk missing, and of course, the decal is damaged. The suitcase Homes are kind of "all about" that cool banner decal. Personally, I would look for a cleaner example.

Yes, the shaver is missing. I didn't notice that. That would be a big minus for me.

The phonograph looks like it has the wrong hold down washers. It seems to me there is a screw in the top left that does not belong there. It would be a phonograph you will put some time and money into. If it had the original home suite case crank I would ty to get down $ 50.00. You will be spending that on parts alone. The Edison decal looks like it might chip off and was not coated over only put on top of the shellac so that would be a plus. Tom

There are screws in the top left and bottom left corners of the bed plate where there should be dowel pins. However this is a minor issue. As far as a shaver is concerned, many early machines have them and many don't. Often only part of it is there. The biggest issue that I see with this machine is the condition of the lid decal.

I agree, the banner decal is extra important with the suitcase Home. It is one of the few machines that collectors are likely to display with the lid included. The script decal is a detraction. If the machine were mine, it would be absolutely necessary for its removal. If it has been top coated you have decisions to make such as refinishing. (Have I bumped the hornets nest yet?) If that decal comes off easily you still have an original machine. If not, it's the "R" word for me.

Regardless, I think it's well worth the asking price.
