I think this seller was hitting on that hookah from Alice in Wonderland
too much.

Your right. I have the same machine in oak, which also needs some work, and I would be insanely happy to sell it for half that amount. Maybe one of the back bidders wants it? Seriously tho, is this for real? And, if so, why??

Yikes! I hope no one bids on it. What a shame that would be.

Always good to see the tone arm on the left side of the record too.

This seller has been trying to sell this for some time....I think the price has actually gone up (I think it started out at $1500).
Gotta wonder why people don't do even a little bit of research before putting something up on ebay

I recently turned a nice one down (VV50) at an antique show priced at 250. What are they really worth??

Well, a few years ago when the market was hot mahogany VV-50's would commonly sell for between $125 and $175 in nice shape. Oak examples could fetch twice as much. That said, the market for all of this stuff is awfully poor these days, and prices have dropped considerably on many items, though I notice that the VV-50 has not fallen as far as the larger cabinet machines.

That is the second time they have listed that VV-50 and he still is showing two different motors.
