Something close by but I haven't seen one like this. Does it look as if it once had a radio in it?

Sears & Roebuck (Circa early 1900's prox) Hand Crank Phonograph

Perfect project for a repair/refurbish expert - currently not working
Has original parts & beautiful wood case / Phonograph top lifts
and there is a mid section that flips down like an old secretarial desk. (See Pics)

Here is a couple Sears Catalog Machines almost like yours, probably a different year made changes in the exterior. This is from the 1927 sears reproduction catalogs available now and then.

The horn on that model isn't much to speak of--sort of an elongated saxophone type horn, and not really exponential.

That's really quite nifty of a late 20's Truphonic Silvertone but way overpriced. The machines of that era used a lot of pot metal in the tone arm and soundbox and that causes trouble. Still a nice cabinet, but I think even $200 would be too high, considering the radioi is gone and it doesn't even work. BTW- these have been seen with a small writing desk fitted into the center section.
