Victor 6 parts and interchangeability

I have an early Victor 6 that I'm helping a friend put back together. I'm trying to locate the back bracket and tone arm. Two questions:

1. I've emailed around a few places found via Google, not had much luck. Are there any suppliers anyone can recommend I try?
2. Are there any other Victor models that these parts will interchange with, or am I stuck finding Victor 6 parts only? Of course modification of the machine is out of the question.

Thanks,
-Michael

The back bracket is th same on a Victor V or D. I believe a reproduction is available from Ron Sitko. (See the Links Section of our Forum.) The tone arm is much easier because the very early Victrolas used the same gold arm. Also, the same arm was used on many Victor horn models but with a nickel finish. I hope this helps.

Thank you! I will look into the reproduction bracket, that would be ideal for my friend.

Will reply to your PM about the tone arm. What reproducer should go with the Model 6? The Exhibition?

Yes, a gold Exhibition is the most commonly used reproducer on the Victor VI.
