Thanks John. That makes Chicago, Indianapolis, and Connecticut. Nothing in western New York State yet!

Why is this not posted under Society News?
This is not information about a particular machine or even a question.
Just wondering?

If you look at just the first page of "Machine" postings, you'll find a number of topics which aren't about machines and/or not a question. I sense that the arrival of 12 articles, other items of interest, and advertisements/auctions are given a similar welcome as, for instance, the
'New' Edison Disc Motor Service Manual. It's not really "Society News" since the publication appears punctually every 90 days.
One might argue that not everyone here is an APS member, and therefore not interested in the new information contained in
The Antique Phonograph. Yet, the DVD set for
The Kinetophone! A Fact! A Reality! has been discussed today here in the "Machines" section, and undoubtedly only a small fraction of us own it. I think it's helpful to make all of us aware of such learning opportunities.
I'd respectfully suggest that anyone questioning the propriety of including discussions of
The Antique Phonograph in the "Machines" section of this forum might wish to take a look at the Index for APS Magazine Topics here:
https://www.antiquephono.org/index-for- ... ne-topics/
You'll find dozens and dozens of machines (maybe hundreds - I didn't count them) covered - - oftentimes in detail unavailable anywhere else. Even first-time APS members have access to all those back issues online - - all the way back to 2004.
On a more personal note, I hope that questions like this don't represent any animosity directed toward the APS. Believe me, no group of people works harder to make the general public aware of our interests, grow our numbers, and ultimately to preserve antique phonographs. I feel privileged to be associated with them.

Just got mine: haven't read it yet, because of theater commitments earlier this evening. I'm sure I'll enjoy it, though.
