What makes this an autostop reproducer? I don't see any insulation wires
near the limit loop which is needed to protect against electric shock.
Autostops are battery operated.

The serial number prefix (EM) is correct for an Electric Automatic Stop reproducer. Likely the insulation just dried and fell off of the limit pin. And the hinge block has the requisite 3 screws indicating it's correct, too.

I’ve added a few additional photos showing the reproducer in place. The pivot has a hole for the pin at the end of the wire that is carried to the battery through a special channel in the elbow. There is indeed insulation on the limit pin to prevent the stop from switching while the reproducer is at rest.
