Played on my Radiola 47 (dating to 1929), here are Ace Brigode and His 14 Virginians in "Yes Sir, That's My Baby" (Columbia 398-D), recorded on 6/2/25, one of the first electric recordings in the Columbia catalog.

Thanks for posting Adam. That's one of my favorite 1920s dance tunes. I like this rendition except for the vocal refrain which sounded a bit like they were shouting rather than singing.

Your Radiola 47 sounds and looks great too!

One reason the vocalists seem to be shouting could be that they weren't yet acclimated to the new electric recording system & its more sensitive microphone(probably a WE carbon mike then). And so they continued their "big" voice projection as they would've done into an acoustic recording horn-or an unamplified vaudeville theater of the era.
