A while ago I found an auction of a very interesting looking phonograph, its powered by AC power and you have to start the movement of the platter, and then it keeps the right speed (not easily regulated). Its called Beohorn. I have another Grammophone with that name on it and the same kind of motor. I've seen them both in Poland but maybe their place of origin is different. Have you ever seen one of these?

With that name BEOPHON and the good technical aspect it has, which seems to have worried to balance the weight of tonearm and soundbox, at one side, against the weight of horn and rest of sound tube at the other, the three legs that seem to be somewhat adjustable, and that engineered hinge which seems to have also adjustable screws and mysterious pins...

I put my guessing bid: it is a Swedish early product from Bang & Olufsen... When did that people start business? Did they ever designed acoustic machines?
It seems very finely engineered.

I went that rout and searched for b&o acoustic phonographs and found nothing only details of the auction suggesting that this could be a b&o product

It looks like this is a mor modern creation, although whoever made this knew what he was doing, the beo prefix for b&o products came to use in 1939 and B&o logo is nowhere to be found on this gramophone

According to the company website, Bang & Olufsen was founded in late 1925 as radio manufacturers. Radio-Gramophones followed in 1930, and as you have discovered, there is no evidence to suggest that they ever made acoustic gramophones. Despite it's interesting features, this mystery machine looks home made to me.

Interestingly its not the only beohorn machine, I have one myself but it is completely different except for beohorn tag and weird motor. I saw another completed auction where the owner assumed that it was some sort of a prototype, but than why would there be multiple variations?
