Need help identifying this object.

This came with some phono parts. Is it part of a listening device? Any help would be appreciated.

It appears to be the head(drum) of an older stethoscope

I wonder if it was with the phono parts because someone converted an old stethoscope into a set of listening tubes?

I have a stethoscope for taking patient's BP at my pharmacy and it seems to be quite similar. FYI.
