What do you think about the Columbia BG cylinder phonograph?

I’ve got Edison and Victor phonographs but no Columbia cylinder players. I saw an attractive Columbia BG...not for sale...YET. What do you think about them? Desirable or not?

Absolutely. I'm looking for one myself...hopefully one surfaces at Wayne.

Four-mainspring motor, Lyric reproducer, and no pot metal to be found - - the B-series of Columbia Graphophones are sweethearts. Easy on the eyes, too.

Good luck!

I think they're WONDERFUL! I have a Columbia BGT featured here in this Forum post a while back:

and I enjoy it very much. The nickel plating against the mahogany cabinet is a stunning combination. Good luck and hope you can get it.

The Columbia BG or BGT is a wonderful machine. The cabinet is beautiful and the mechanism does not suffer from pot metal issues. I highly recommend the BE, BF, and BG series.
