Length of Columbia BG crank! HELP!

It’s definitely not less than 3 inches...this is the second “BG crank” which is too short . Is the shaft about 3.5 inches long?
My BG crank is about 2&⅞" from the threaded end to the turn. Hope this helps. Jerry B.
