Request to George Paul

George,
Would you mind doing a featured phono on your U.S. Phonograph -- the early bandit disc machine in the flat oak case? That machine intrigues me no end and I simply can't understand why I haven't encountered one in all my years of visiting antiques shops, etc. ;)

George, I second that request. I've never seen one and would like to learn a bit more about it.

Not to hijack this thread, but I was at the antique store where I work today, and we were delivered our monthly stack of the latest free antiques newsletter to give away... I believe it was "Antique West" if I'm not mistaken. The cover story this month was a very nice introductory article on phonograph collecting written by George Paul. Very nicely done!

I'll be happy to. I'm working at the bike shop this afternoon, so I can't get to it until tomorrow. Busy, busy...

Thanks, Shane, for the compliment on the article. I haven't seen it. Since the publication is The West Coast Peddler, I don't know if I will!

Best to all,
George P.

Could you please show us George's phonograph article. I am curious!

Hi George,
We have a whole box full of copies of the West Coast Peddler at work. If by chance you'd like a copy, PM me a mailing address and I can send you one. I stop by the post office once a week anyways, and it wouldn't be any trouble at all.
