Mine arrived today. Air Mail to the UK almost doubles the subscription cost, but I cannot fault the speed at which it arrives, quicker than to some destinations in the USA.
As the owner of the earliest known Edison Triumph (30360) I went straight to George Paul's Spring Motor and Triumph article on page 34, which adds useful information to that contained in George Frow's definitive book. I look forward to reading the rest of the Journal over the next few days.

That's a lot quicker than to US addresses! I have yet to hear any reports of deliveries here.
I trust you'll find this issue very interesting. It's also longer than usual -- 60 pages rather than the usual 52.

Those of you who by now have received your Journals may have noticed the errors in the article about the Bettini Papal Recordings.
Firstly in respect of William Michaelis and secondly in respect of the Gaisberg brothers, The Gramophone Company is referred to as The Graphophone Company.

I think that I must be on the bad list. I just got my September issue 2 weeks ago.

Mine is usually slow and I had given up on that issue, but it finally made its way to me.

The vagaries of the post office....
All issues are mailed at the same time, and since earlier this year we have been printing the mailing date on the label page so you can see how long it spends in transit.
The December issue should start hitting mailboxes this week.

I had no doubt that the problem was with the Postal Service. You get used to it when you live in the sticks.

Well, if it makes you feel any better, it sometimes takes two weeks for a birthday card to travel 325 miles between our house and Brooklyn...

I received my copy last week, and promptly devoured it. I especially enjoyed the article George Paul wrote of the Edison Triumph and its emergence. Kudos also belong to Mike Sherman, Tim Fabrizio, Shawn O'Rourke, Bob Baumbach, Paul Edie, Robert Feinstein; of course the other contributors, and our editor Rene Rondeau.
I thank all those unrecognized individuals for the continued excellence of The Antique Phonograph and Antique Phonograph Society - who make it happen.
As a related side note: @MorDeth, I wonder if we could bring back the sub-forum "Society News"? I understand there may have been issues with some of the membership with it (although I don't know the details), but eliminating the sub-forum has made it difficult for me to navigate the forum for any related posts.
Merry Happy Holidays,
Fran
