I think this is a product of Columbia's Japanese factory, which they acquired when they took over the Nipponophone Company in 1927.

The turntable, brake and speed control indicate a British made Garrard motor.
The knuckle joint lid stay is of HMV origin, indicating a post 1931 (EMI merger) date.
The tonearm looks to be of American Columbia origin.
The British No.9 soundbox was obsolete by 1930 and may not be the original. I would have expected to see a No.15.
The elliptical bakelite winding handle knob is known to have been used on Japanese built machines.
