Replacing a Broken Spring from a Edison A250 Phonograph

Post by audiophile102 »

Today I finished replacing a broken spring for my Edison A250. I had never tried to service an Edison phonograph motor before, so I had to figure it out as I went along. More than once I ran into a problem I couldn't solve and my good friend Roger Merenkov came to my rescue. I never would have tried to do this without his guidance and friendship. The most difficult task was replacing the broken spring with a new one inside the spring barrel. It was exhausting work and there were moments when I thought I wouldn't be able to finish the task. I made videos along the way and posted them all to You Tube.
