Hello Folks: I need to replace the sandpaper strips on my cylinder reamer. What is the proper number grit to use? Much thanks!

The grit on mine looks to be about 150, but are you sure you need to replace it? When mine becomes clogged (I've had this one about 25 years), a minute or two of brushing with an old toothbrush usually returns the sandpaper to original roughness. On a few occasions, I've run tap water over it with the toothbrush, and it comes out looking like new.

Thank you, George. I'll try to give mine a good cleaning before I order any sandpaper.

I clean mine with belt sander cleaner, kind of a rubbery solid that looks like a giant eraser. You just rub it ovver the sandpaper and it loosens the accumulated gunk without softening the sandpaper.
