Hello all,
I want to install a sapphire stylus in my rebuilt Brunswick soundbox and I was wondering where you all recommend I purchase one.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance!
Gerald.

They turn up on eBay from time to time. You might also be able to get a new one from Expert Stylus if you can supply an appropriate shank (or even maybe if not); not sure, you'd need to ask Expert about that.

Either you can ask the gramophone parts dealers, APSCO, Wyatt's Musical Americana, George Vollema at Great Lakes, etc. In the US there are lots of Pathé machines, ans any them may likely have a sapphire stylus, recycled from any machine. For new or recycled ones I would also try the French sites, asking in
http://www.78tours.com as a start. It's by Daniel Hennemand. If you ask there someone may help. France is full of Pathé. Also René Rondeau, who I believe is in this forum may suggest more options, surely in the States.

Does anyone know if these are any good? They say New Old Stock, but I’m wondering if anyone has tried one?

Also, John Nagy seems to have a stylus for Pathé. Has anyone bought one from him?

Thanks again.

As a trial, I've written an email to a French site with the question. Let's see what will they tell us... It is in Paris,
http://www.paleophonies.com and it deals with styluses for old phonos, and also they sell gramophones. Being popular in France, I'm sure they will tell us something about sapphire needles for our Pathé machines...
