Brunswick double Ultona reproducer: restoring "Edison" wire

Hi everybody! I recently bought an Ultona reproducer in good condition, but the wire that connects the "Edison" lever to the mica diaphragm is missing. I'd like to repair it: what kind of wire should I use? Is there something I should take care of, when trying to repair this part of the soundbox?
Thank you!
Carlo

I know a few members have had successes with dental floss or fishing line.

If you don't mind me asking, how did a Brunswick phonograph make it to Northern Italy? I didn't know they had dispersed so far around the world! That is so cool.

No problem in answering, thank you for your message! I bought it a few years ago on Ebay. I owe 35 gramophones and 5 phonographs and many soundboxes, and my wife is desperate, although she also loves music and grams...
