seems like, its the Edison Bell Duplex Grand, missing its case.

Similaryes, the same way a as a Pathé 1 resembles a columbia eagle. The theatrophone is distinguised by its bruckner patent carriage that allowed adjustment for various size cylinders.
EDISON BELL sourced their early machines from german companies like excelsior or krefeld.
The clpgs website has a pic of a complete machine in turn over cabinet. Would be interesting to know if cabinet sizes are the same between EB and Theatrophone.
