Good stuff. Big fan of BG here, and this is one of his good early swing tunes. Thanks for posting!

I had a lesson in how this title was offensive to some back in the early 60s. I worked for a major department store which still had operators for the elevators. I was just a teen ager still at that time. One day I got down to the main floor and wanted to go up to the 7th floor. Happened that two cars were waiting with open doors for passengers. I used the common phrase of Eeny Meeny Miney Mo. to pick one to take. I got in and the operator whom I knew well started up but swung the rotary handle that operated the car to stop between the first floor and second and threw her hands on her hips and said "So what's all this Enny Meen Miney Mo XXXX" At first I was stunned and clueless, but after thinking about it I recalled it had a racial context that followed that part of the comment. I was embarrassed by it for sure. I never used it again and the women or girls that operated the cars were all my friends.

I always said : Catch a tiger by the toe, if he hollers let him go.

I can understand why the women were upset, because they may have heard the rhyme with N word in it! Which was more prevalent in the South!

Sounds great, Edison fan! Say, what cartridge/stylus combo are you using there with the Audio-Technica tt? I'm thinking of replacing my old Pioneer PL-112D, which doesn't play 78s, with the A-T 120. (I'll keep my Stanton 681EEE for LPs and 45s).

It’s a SHURE M78S. Although SHURE ceased production on needles for turntables.

I have been pretty happy with my 78 Grado Cartridge in my Elac H 50 turn table. On the other Dual I use a pickering generic 78 stylus and it works well also.

There's a generic replacement listed on this site: http://www.kabusa.com/frameset.htm?/index.htm

Also here: https://www.lpgear.com/product/SHN078E.html (pricey!)
