The spring barrel I have looks like it has never been lubricated....EVER. Arbor shaft is loose in spring barrel bushings, and bull gear shows damage from slipping off spindle worm gear! Add to that: the arbor shaft is loose in the motor casting holes....it is THAT worn. Check out the gap in the attached photo. I’ve fixed everything on this motor....this is the last step! THANK YOU for looking, and hopefully, helping.

I have a motor that was worn like this _ just happened to be on a Victor II as well.
I threw things on the lathe, and made bushings for everything _ little bit of work, but got the job done.

The gear that drove the worm was so misaligned, that the motor would bind and stop.

I have a complete motor from a Vic II humpback in running condition. Will pull it out and PM you tomorrow.
