Can anyone identify this reproducer? Douglus no. 20

I posted this in the machines section but someone mentioned this may be British, so perhaps someone here knows more about it? My friend found this and I don’t know what machine it came off of. It only says “Douglus no. 20). The diaphragm looks similar to an Orthophonic but without the spider. It looks quite well made.

Interesting to see that the Douglus Talking Macine Co were using the Grafonola name. Either they were connected with Columbia or they were risking litigation for copyright infringement.

Most of the on line images of Douglus machines are from Japan, so it is likely that Douglus was a Japanese company, and possibly a Columbia subsidiary. Here are a few more :

Certainly seems to be a Japanese connection.
