Edison Horn?

I have just purchased a horn for my cylinder player, it is 14 inches long and the bell is about 7 inches in diameter, the body of the horn is silver color and the bell is brass color. I would like to know if anyone knows if these were sold by Edison or Columbia, if so what would be the correct machine for it to be on, or if they were aftermarket items. If I can figure out how to get a picture on here I will post one, thank you in advance for your reply.

Looks to me like it's an unpainted reproduction horn. Is the silver portion of the horn steel? Jerry B.

Unpainted repro: the copper tubing on the small end is a dead giveaway, as is the steel beading where it joins the bell.

I would encourage any collector to develop a relationship with a good parts supplier like Ron Sitko or Musical Americana or others listed in the "Links" section of our Forum. Their prices are fair and they carry a good inventory. Most but not all the parts you see on eBay, Etsy, or any secondary market are supplied by a phonograph parts supplier and then re-sold. I enjoy a good relationship with Ron S. I call and place my order. It comes in a couple of days along with an invoice which is promptly paid.
