This was on the Edison Home I got awhile ago.... I only have a Model H reproducer so I can only play my 4 minuet cylinders. I wanted to know from some of the forum members here if it is worth restoring the one I have? Or would it cost less to buy one off Ebay?
The hinge block is broken and it needs a new stylus bar and new gaskets of course. Its pretty dirty too.
It looks like it was dropped on the ground... and actually it wouldn't surprise me one bit. Both the lid and the wooden motor frame were broken when I got it.
Is it worth anything in its current condition?

Ron Sitko has all of the parts available to restore it. They are easy enough to restore, however if you don't feel comfortable doing it yourself, contact either Wyatt Markus or Steve Medved to do the job. If you buy one off Ebay you will probably need to have it restored anyway and yours looks to be an excellent candidate for restoration.

I would want to do it myself. How do I contact Ron?

You may not want to do the hinge block removal yourself. You'd have to drill out the original stump of the block with a very small reverse threaded bit (so as not to hurt the threads) and then put a new one in. I don't like working on hinge blocks, and prefer to send them in and confine my DIY reproducer repairing to mostly intact examples or disc phonograph parts.
