Hey guys I found this today and negotiated a great deal on it. All it’s parts seems to be there which is good except for one issue the floating reproducer assembly is broken off. I’ll be attaching some pictures. How do I put it vack on?

Sweet find! It should clean up nicely. This and your two Edisons will make a nice little display of classic cylinder phonographs big and small.

1) Hope that's not one of your wax Amberols on there...that Graphophone is two-minute only and there was no way I know of to convert it.
2) What's up with the Atwater-Kent breadboard set underneath? Those don't turn up often at all.

I've never seen one of these little phonographs intact, so I won't know how it goes together; certainly it is in good hands now & I hope you can find out from our B experts how to set it backup.

The trunnion assembly is brass and should just solder back together

No it’s not mine yet, but thanks for saying it only plays 2 mins. I won’t be able to drive and get it till probably next week. I was thinking that soldering it would work!

He’s selling a lot of stuff I think.... I can ask about that breadboard?

Yikes! The trunnion wasn't originally soldered - - that was some "handyman's" solution once the retaining screw was lost. You will see the threaded hole in the carriage sleeve that accepts a short, broad-headed machine screw that secures the trunnion to the sleeve. The screw is inserted down the throat of the trunnion. Any of the usual suppliers should have that screw for you.

You can use your torch to clean off that solder!

Good for you - - and in this instance, the right way is easier! Just order one of those Eagle trunnion screws and you'll be all set.

It would appear that the the reproducer mounting tube (for lack of a better term) which is inserted into the trunnion must be removed first in order to fully access the mounting hole deep within the throat of the trunnion. Seems that the small pin as seen in the first picture must be driven out to accomplish this.

The second picture shows that the shoulder of the trunnion screw is rather large and probably will need that extra room in order to insert it into the carriage sleeve.. I can see where one of those screw-hold-it screw drivers would really come in handy at that point to get it properly started without damaging the threads..

I have removed & replaced the mounting screw without removing anything else. It needs a bit of gentle manipulation, but it will find its way to the bottom. Of course, removing the pin might be simpler in the long run.
