UPDATE:
I ended up getting the pin out... although I broke it.
I saw that people get longer ones so that the removal is easier next time. where do i get a longer one?

I use the flat of a small screwdriver to press the pin flush with the mount. Then I flatten the tip of a used steel needle on a grinding wheel (you barely need to touch it to the wheel once or twice) to enlarge the diameter enough that it won't slip off the pin. Hold the blunted needle in a pair of pliers and push the pin as far as the taper of the needle will allow it to go. You should then be able to grasp the other end of the pin with pliers and pull it out, thus freeing the stylus bar. Then drop the stylus bar through the hole in the weight so it is out of the way then remove the pivot screw for the weight and separate the weight from the reproducer body. You can now remove the stylus bar from the link if necessary. Just be very careful handling the stylus bar and cord. These are all 90 plus years old and the cords are very fragile.
This is the method I have been using for many years. Others may have different ideas which work for them.

Measure the diameter of the broken wire and go to a hobby or hardware or hobby store and lo o99 k for steel wire of the same diameter and cut a new pin from it. If you can't find any wire of the correct size, Ron Sitko should have the pins.

well I ended up poking a hole in the Diaphragm......
I was talking to "VanEpsFan1914" and he was telling me a couple forum members make really good replacement diaphragms?
I still need to get the tension ring off

Make sure you PM larryh for a TRUE TONE DIAPHRAGM! These are going to boost the sound of your machine and make it sound clearer than anything else! There’s also Herman and his diaphragms too.

Make a tool for it. Take a piece of scrap wood a few inches long and ½" or so wide and drive two used steel needles into it, the same distance as the diameter of the ring. Then just insert the pins into the recesses of the ring and turn. Some trial and error my be involved. Also some freezing of the parts.
