What Size Set Screw in Edison Reproducer Adapter?

I just picked up an adapter for mounting a smaller Edison Cylinder reproducer like a C or H into a horizontal carriage with a larger opening like a Diamond B or O. There is a small set screw that holds the small reproducer in place and that assembly is then dropped into place and tightened with existing thumbscrew. I have gone through all of my peanut butter jars filled with screws, etc. and can't find the right one. Does anyone know the size? I tried a 4-40 from my "new" parts and it seems close but not correct. Thanks, Joe

Joe, I'm not sure, but I think it may be the same size as the setscrew in the carriage. I have one of those adapters and will check the screw sizes if none else posts before I can get to it.

Jim, thanks for your reply but mine is not the same size. The set screw will be smaller than the thumbscrew on mine.
Thanks, Joe

Thanks, Herman. They must not all be the same as mine can’t be that large. I’ll keep digging around. If I just find a screw I can make it into a set screw.

For what it's worth, mine is a 5-40 also.
