I'm looking for an emerald green grille cloth for my Edison C-19.

I found on in a similar color, but I'm not sure the fabric is decent for a phonograph:

Was green the color from the factory? Or is it possible that a brown grill cloth faded to a green over time? I've seen green Nipper ears and I'm almost certain that they started as brown and moved to a green color. I'd love some expert opinions.

The cloth used on Edison machines was usually a greenish-gold for mahogany cabinets, and brownish-gold for oak. I got the cloth for my C-250 from an Ebay seller: search for "Edison grille cloth".

People may laugh at this response - and it may sound kind of amateur... But, I find that stores like Hobby Lobby have every color and pattern imaginable... Just grab a period correct color, cut it to size, and go from there....

Worked for me anyway.... I know... amateur... It was an "off brand" ;)
