LOL!
I actually have a stack of shellac, but it’s mostly 30s and 40s stuff.
I bet you know a source or two for period pieces!
It will be fun to keep an eye out, since I’ve never looked for anything quite that old before.

One thing you may want to seriously consider for your IX- a Victrola or HMV No. 4 soundbox and soft tone needles will really give later electrical records a nice fidelity boost- and they are a straight swap for an Exhibition or Victrola No. 2.

Almost everyone here has spares and many of us would send you a few for the price of postage and packing. You can also find older records in thrift stores and flea markets.
Also, consider going to one of the various phonograph shows if you can. You'll find more records there than you could ever play in your lifetime!

Now that's just too cool.
If you want old records, the Victor "batwing" 78s are top quality and are the most common of the early labels. They wear like iron, sound great, and usually have awesome music. Finding the old Red Seals is fun--I used to get very excited when I saw a Red Seal. Still do.
You will have a lot of fun with the Victrola.
