I'd say this thread needs to be moved to The Parlor--but considering who's doing it I'd be surprised if it gets moved off the sidewalk in one piece.

I was punning around--thinking on where you might usually expect to find a player piano.
That's pretty neat that the house and even the steps are still there, after all these years.

When I visited Los Angeles for the first and only time about 8 years ago, the Laurel and Hardy steps were a "must see" on my list of places to visit. I walked all the way up the steps, and there were a lot of them. Like in the movie, the funniest thing is that they didn't need to haul the player piano up the steps, because they could have driven it to the road at the top.

When this was on TV over 40 years ago, my infant son burst into tears and was inconsolable as the instrument was destroyed.
Although my wife and I were not to know it at the time, he went on to study music at university and is now a classically trained professional clarinettist.
