It's not mine, of course and it is local pickup only, but it's the last of the windup Edisons and I think someone here ought to know about it. Since it is sold for $135 or offers, one of us might get a nice deal.

It does not look like a P-1. I have seen them at phonograph shows. Perhaps it is a Brunswick portable.

If I wanted to buy it, I'd ask the seller to unscrew the tonearm and mount and send me the reproducer/tonearm and junk the rest...

Re: EDISON P-1 Portable in Texas
I guess the soundbox might be interesting because it's Edison, but the rest of the thing is just a ratty, unremarkable portable. Not worth the money -- to me at least.

Best regards ... AZ*

OK, thanks for clearing this one up! I didn't know there was more than one kind of Edison needle cut portable.

Re: EDISON P-1 Portable in Texas
I know now it’s technically the “needle type portable”, but I just remember previous post about this model being jokingly called the p-3. I had no idea it was released before the p-1 and p-2.
I thought about making a new topic on this other needle type portable I saw listed on offer up, the case doesn't look that bad. If I tried getting them, take the tonearm and reproducer from the eBay one to stick on the other.
