Another one ticked off the wishlist (BKT)

The Columbia BKT is one of those machines so unusual I had to have one, having a cylinder machine with a back bracket is so interesting, so it's been on the wishlist for a number of years, I don't believe they were ever sold in the UK so they're very rare over here, so when this one popped up on here I had to go for it.
This is an Oxford variant with the regular cabinet, exactly the same as the regular Columbia, just minus the cabinet decals, some great woodgrain on the cabinet, here it is taking pride of place in the living room

Nice find... I'm like you, always wanted a back mount Columbia cylinder machine. I have lucked out finding two, my first was a BKT like yours, the second was a BFT. I also have a Columbia BE which is currently set up with a Rapke horn crane. I love Columbia machines and still have the early Q that I got from you... A picture of the Rapke crane is below...

I really like columbias but for some reason always sold the ones I've had and regretted it, I had a lovely AT at one point too, maybe I'll finally keep hold of this one!
Very nice BE

Great find. I'm happy for you that you were able to reach your goal. I wanted a BG for 20-plus years and last fall at the Stanton auction I was finally able to buy a BGT equipped with 2&4 minute gearing and a nickel-plated horn.
